The village of Pitkäluoto offers cyclists island scenery at its best. The fishing villages of Maa-Ihamo and Meri-Ihamo and the harbour at the end of Ristikarintie represent traditional Pyhämaa fishing communities. There is a long history of fishing in Pitkäluoto, and the centuries old traditions continue to this day. Fishing for a living is still very evident in the villages, from the old fishing shacks by the water to the modern-day adverts of companies selling fish products. The view from the fishing harbour breakwater is breathtaking; a beautiful vista of the Bothnian Sea National Park.
