In the picturesque church village of Pyhämaa, one of the Ring Road’s finest attractions awaits visitors: the mysterious 17th century “Church of Sacrifices”. The unassuming exterior hides a large number of impressive paintings. The church is known as a miracle-working church, where people who have been helped send their gifts and sacrifices. It is likely that there has been a church on the site since the 11th century. Throughout the centuries seafarers have made sacrifices to the church after being saved from the sea.
