Municipal Daycare Centres

Daycare centres offer goal-oriented and versatile activities that support children's development and learning.  Daycare centres are designed to provide a functional and safe environment for children to engage in learning, active exploration, play and rest.

Interacting with other children is an important part of daycare education. Interacting with their peers gives children an opportunity to practice their social skills while actively building an understanding of themselves.  Daycare centres are operated by professional and trained personnel. Self-development is considered an important part of the job.

Cooperation with the families of children through an educational partnership is also a central element of daycare. In addition to daily discussions, parents' evenings and parties, daycare centres also organise joint activities, etc., aimed at the entire family.
