Kalanti daycare centre

Kalanti daycare centre opened its doors in 1988. It is located in the centre of Kalanti in Sirppujokilaakso, close to woodlands, a sports field, library and church. 

Kalanti daycare centre gives children the opportunity to play, move, and explore different activities creatively and joyfully. Our educational work is based on supporting children's emotional skills and social interaction in all everyday situations. 

Kalanti daycare centre offers a safe, encouraging and warm environment for growth and learning. 

Groups and spaces

Kalanti daycare centre operates in three different buildings. 

Nuput and Versot, 3-5 years, puuhailevat Astalankujalla. A big yellow house at Astalankuja has a tower with a clown's face on it and the windows that have been made to look like dogs and camels. The daycare facilities are highly functional and can modifiable as needed. The large yard with its mounds encourages movement.

Nonparellit 1-3 years and Karamellit 3-5 years, are looked after in Nonparelli building. Building is located next to the Kalanti service centre, in a building that once served as a child and maternity clinic.

Preschool groups, Silmut and Tähkät, are given the chance to practice their preschool skills in a module building next to the school.
