Youth events

Youth services organise activities for young people in different kinds of events and in activity-oriented trips and excursions. The excursions/trips are also carried out in co-operation with the youth council.
We inform about the current camps, excursions, and trips on our Facebook and Instagram, in the news section of our website and in local newspapers, etc. So follow us to stay informed!

We also receive feedback and proposals for excursion destinations and events. Get in touch!

31 May: Pakkisfest

Pakkisfest is a music event for young people.
It will be held at Pakkahuone Square on 31 May from 5 PM to 7 PM.

• The rap artist AHTI will perform at 6 PM.
• There will also be other activities for young people, such as the Nuvalounge area.
• The event is free and drug-free.
   

3 June: Seiskapäivä ("Seventh Graders' Day")

This event is for students who will start 7th grade in the autumn.
More information will be announced soon.

5 June: Rainbow Picnic

Rainbow Picnic at Myllymäki Park on 5 June from 4 PM to 6 PM.

• Picnic is for young people aged 12 and older. Event is aimed specially at members of sexual and gender minorities and their friends.
• There will be small snacks available.
• You can also try slacklining at the picnic!
• Library services will offer a special booklet with book tips!
• No need to sign up in advance.
• If it rains, the picnic will move to Wintteri Youth Center.

10 June: Day Camp

Day camp on Tuesday, 10 June 2025 from 10 AM to 4 PM at Sorvakko Sports Field (Etelälinjakatu 7, 23500 Uusikaupunki).

• The camp is for young people starting 7th grade up to 17 years old.
• There will be games, fun activities, and a friendly tournament, including human foosball and archery tag.
  Also, brain games and outdoor games.
• Maximum 30 participants.
  The participation fee is €30 and includes pizza and a drink.
• Registration opens on 5 May 2025 at 8 AM: registration link.
  Registration closes on 23 May.

11 June: Trip to Rahin Petting Zoo

The trip includes meeting animals, grilling food, and outdoor games.
It is for young people starting 7th grade up to 17 years old.

• Registration opens on 26 May at 8 AM: registration link.
  Registration closes on 4 June.
• The participation fee is 8e, which includes transport, entrance ticket, and food.
  Registration is binding!
• Maximum 30 participants.

  Return trip starts at 4 PM.

12–13 June: Overnight Youth Center ("Yönuokkari")

Overnight event at Wintteri Youth Center from Thursday 12 June at 8 PM to Friday 13 June at 8 AM.

• For young people born between 2009 and 2012.
• Maximum 15 participants.
• Evening snack and breakfast will be provided. Lights out by 3 AM.
• Participants must follow agreed rules: no drugs, no energy drinks.
  Leaving during the night is only allowed with a guardian's permission.
• Registration opens on 26 May at 8 AM: registration link.
  Registration closes on 9 June.
• The event is free.

17 June: Trip to Särkänniemi Amusement Park

Join the trip to Särkänniemi!
For young people starting 7th, 8th, or 9th grade.

• Registration opens on 1 May at 8 AM: registration link.
• Registration closes on 10 June.
• Registration is binding and the trip fee must be paid at the same time.
• Trip cost: €42 (includes entrance to the amusement park, rides, Doghill Fairytale Farm, Aquarium, and Näsinneula Tower).
  Participants need to pay for their own food.
• Bring clothes suitable for the weather and a water bottle.

  Return from Tampere at 5 PM.
