Terms of Use for the Call-based public transport

Booking a Ride
The customer agrees to pay the specified fare directly to the driver upon boarding. The driver charges according to the current pricing schedule.

Passenger Pick-Up
The demand-responsive ride cannot wait for an individual passenger beyond the specified pick-up time, as the vehicle must adhere to the schedule promised to other customers. The pick-up time is provided during booking, either by phone or through the online system.

If the ride is booked based on departure time, the pick-up time will be the target departure time + 15 minutes. This means you may have to wait up to 15 minutes from the stated time. If the ride is booked based on arrival time, the arrival time can be the target time or up to 15 minutes earlier. This means you may arrive at your destination up to 15 minutes before the target time.

Ride Cancellation and No-Show
Bookings can be canceled free of charge up to 30 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. Outside phone service hours, cancellations can also be reported via email: office@tlo.fi

If a customer fails to use their booked ride without canceling, after three (3) no-shows, their right to book demand-responsive rides may be revoked.

Seat Reservations for All Passengers
The number of passengers, including children traveling for free, must be specified when making the booking to ensure sufficient seats are reserved. The driver has the right to deny boarding to additional passengers not included in the booking, as seats may already be allocated to other customers.

Transporting Children
The vehicles used are buses equipped with seat belts at all seating positions. Children under 7 years of age may only travel with a paying adult. The accompanying guardian or adult is ultimately responsible for the child’s safety during the trip, including providing a suitable child safety seat if needed.

No Smoking or Alcohol Consumption
Smoking, including e-cigarettes, and the use of intoxicating substances or alcoholic beverages is prohibited in the vehicles. The driver may require a passenger to leave the vehicle if they violate this rule. The use of illegal substances will also be reported to the police.

Connecting Trips
Connecting trips, such as transferring from Uusikaupunki’s internal public transport to a demand-responsive ride, are the customer’s responsibility. If the demand-responsive ride is delayed, the missed connection will not be reimbursed.

Data Protection
The City of Uusikaupunki acts as the data controller. The privacy policy, in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679), can be read here:
