Youth work in schools

Uusikaupunki Youth Services work together with local schools and educational institutions. School youth work is mainly for students in grades 7-9 and upper secondary education.

Our goal is to support young people’s well-being and help create a safe and welcoming school community where everyone can be themselves.

Youth Work at Wintteri School

The school youth worker is available at Wintteri School during the school day, especially during breaks.

You can come and talk to the youth worker about anything that is important to you, for example:

school and studies
free time and hobbies
friends and relationships
well-being
other things in your life.

Talking with the youth worker is voluntary and confidential. The youth worker is there to listen, support and help you. If needed, they can also help you find other support.

Activities at School

During the school year, Youth Services organize different activities together with the school and students. These include:

activities during school breaks
activities that help students get to know each other

The school youth worker works closely with school staff. Together, we want to make Wintteri a safe, friendly and welcoming school where no one is left alone.

Youth Work in Upper Secondary Education

Youth Services work closely with Uusikaupunki Upper Secondary School and Novida Vocational College.

Youth workers take part in activities for new students at the beginning of the school year, as well as different events and theme days during the year.
