Lokki Joonatan daycare centre
Lokki Joonatan is a small, idyllic daycare centre operating in two buildings right in the centre of Lokalahti.
The upper building is an old farmhouse that was renovated and transformed into a daycare centre, while the lower building was initially built as a daycare centre in 1989. The homely, but spacious buildings provide children with many learning opportunities. Lokki Joonatan has a cosy but spacious yard with old apple trees and berry bushes. There is an idyllic hut in the backyard. All the children play together in the same yard. This increases affinity between children across group boundaries. There is a forest, sports field and playground within walking distance.
We strongly value warm interactions, reliability, safety and responsibility. We also consider cooperation with families and children’s right to be children and to be accepted just as they are important elements. Lokki Joonatan also has a parents' club.
We want to help children find their strengths and place in a group of friends, in which they can be both similar and different at the same time, without having to pretend.
"The gull sees farthest who flies highest"

Group
At the moment, there are two groups in the centre; Pikkulokit, 1-3 yrs, and Naurulokit, 3-6 yrs. Naurulokit is a preschool education group.
