Budget

Budget refers to the City of Uusikaupunki's financial management plan. The municipal committees of Uusikaupunki submit their budgets in September, based on which the mayor prepares a general budget proposal for the City Council.  The Council addresses the budget proposal in November. The Council approves the budget and financial plan for the coming three or more years by the end of the year. 

The management board of publicly owned enterprises approves the allocated budget, which is based on the budget approved by the Council. 

The budget approves the City's functional and financial goals and confirms the appropriations and income estimates for the City’s service areas responsible for offering basic services to Uusikaupunki residents.
