The Local government pilot on employment will relocate to temporary facilities in the Civic Centre Mörne for the rest of the year

From the beginning of 2025, the responsibility for organizing public employment and business services will transfer from the state to municipalities. Starting from the new year, Uusikaupunki will be part of the Turku employment area and will operate as one of the municipalities organizing employment services. These services will be housed in the Civic Centre Mörne, where a local government pilot on employment is already in operation.

Due to this change, the Civic Centre Mörne will undergo renovations until the end of the year. As a result, the local government pilot on employment will move from its current location to temporary facilities on the fourth floor of Mörne starting November 1, 2024. You can reach these temporary facilities by entering through the main doors of Mörne and using either the elevator or the stairs. There is a bell on the fourth-floor door marked for employment services that you can ring to get inside.

The local government pilot on employment will operate in these temporary facilities on the fourth floor until the end of the year, December 31, 2024. After that, the employment services will begin operations in the renovated spaces.

Special Opening Hours

The local government pilot on employment will be closed on Monday, November 18, 2024, due to a staff training day. There will also be no on-call services available on this day.
