Library youth work 

Library youth work is youth work in a library environment. Work involves planning and organizing free activities and events for young people. Also, work includes providing information and guidance services for young people. 

During the summer, activities will also be organized at other locations – the Wintteri Youth Center, the Kalanti Library, and the mobile library.

Wintteri Youth Space | City of Uusikaupunki 

Monday: Finnish as a foreign language – youth info 15.00–20.00 (entering grade 6 to 17-year-olds)  

Learning Finnish through youth literature and fun games, summer tutor, help with finding summer jobs, etc. – a very customer-oriented info. 

Tuesday: Art Workshop 14.00–17.00 (youth entering grade 6 to 17-year-olds) 

Art workshop, we explore different forms of art and create art together. The art workshop also includes guest artists and their workshops.

Thursday: Game Night 17.00–20.00 (youth entering grade 7 to 28-year-olds) 

Social game night for young people. 

Kalanti Library | City of Uusikaupunki 

Wednesday: Youth activities in Raimo's Chamber 13.00–16.00 (youth entering grade 6 to 17-year-olds) 

Youth activities at the library, for example a Retro Game Day on June 25th. 

Market Square | City of Uusikaupunki 

Friday: Library youth worker on the road with the mobile library 

Youth activities at the market square 12.00–15.00 (youth entering grade 6 to 17-year-olds) 

Hangout spot and small activities for young people. 

Library youth worker on vacation 16.6.-22.6 and 3.7.–13.7. 

No activities at the youth space during week 29 

Pop-up activities in Rauhanpuisto during week 29 

No Game Night on 31.7.
