Merimiehenkotimuseon keittiö

The Sailor’s Home Museum is located on the edge of Myllymäki in one of the oldest surviving residential buildings in Uusikaupunki. The house is believed to have been built in the 1770s. The small house is furnished to depict the home of a Uusikaupunki sailor’s family in the early 20th century.

At the Sailor’s Home Museum, young visitors can engage in activities such as detective games.

The museum is open every day from 12 to 3 pm, and admission is free.

Group visits are available only by prior reservation through the museum office. The guidance and opening fee for groups is €30 on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm, and €40 at other times. Visits are possible only during the summer season (the museum is small, group size about 10 people).

Kindergarten and school groups can also book visits in August and September. For children's groups from Uusikaupunki, the visits are free of charge.
