Mikko Alatalo - Maalaispojasta 50 vuotta - tour

Last year marked the 50th anniversary of Mikko Alatalo’s debut album, "Maalaispoika oon" (I'm a Country Boy).

The artist is now continuing his “50 Years of Maalaispoika” tour—launched last autumn—until the end of 2025!

Maalaispoika oon was the beginning of Mikko Alatalo’s long solo career, which is still going strong today. The anniversary tour brings the songs from the debut album back to the stage after a long time. In addition, the setlist features gems of Manserock and songs from Northern Finland that reflect the early years of his musical journey. The concerts offer a broad retrospective of Mikko’s career, including later hits.

Mikko Alatalo is one of Finland’s most prominent entertainers. Recently turning 73, the celebrated artist holds the honorary title of Music Councillor. His impressive career includes 700 recorded songs—600 of which were co-written with Harri Rinne—over 6,000 live performances, and more than 50 released albums. In recent years, he has been recognized with awards such as the Iskelmä-Finlandia and the Finland Prize, and has appeared on the hit TV show Vain elämää.

An evening full of laughter and memories awaits—deeply emotional and moving. Mikko is accompanied on stage by his son, Kalle Alatalo, guitarist of Hauli Bros and Coitus Int 50 Revival. Welcome to an unforgettable concert by the eternal country boy!
