The Uusikaupunki Maritime Center

Located at Pakkahuone Square in the former Vaso mill, the Maritime Center of Uusikaupunki is maintained by the Uusikaupunki Maritime Historical Society. The exhibition space features a variety of maritime historical exhibits.

The permanent exhibition includes several old boat engines, a large-scale model of the Uusikaupunki sailing ship Varma, other miniature models, numerous ship paintings, and more.

The summer 2024 exhibitions will showcase the profession of seafarers and the passenger ship traffic that once passed through Uusikaupunki.

Admission to the Maritime Center is free.

The Maritime Center also houses a well-stocked sales point for the society.
