The Rainbow Dragon Reading Competition for Children and Youth

The Uusikaupunki Library Summer Reading Competition is open to all children and youth. The competition period is from June 3 to August 12, 2024.

This year, the reading competition involves helping a dragon collect eggs for its nest.

Forms can be picked up at the Main Library, Kalanti Library, and the mobile library. On the forms, participants will write the titles of three books they have read or listened to, along with their contact information. In exchange for the form, participants will receive a paper dragon egg from the library, which will be placed in the dragon's nest in the children's section of the Main Library or Kalanti Library.

The two participants who read the most will be awarded book prizes, and a fantastic dragon pool toy will be raffled off among all those who collected eggs.
