Cruise Day

The cruise departs at 10:30 AM from behind the Pakkahuone guest harbor in Uusikaupunki. The journey begins by passing impressive yacht harbors. The sea voyage is aboard the passenger ship M/S Kerttu, which offers comfortable and warm indoor seating with a café (full service available) and a spacious sun deck to enjoy the day at sea.

The journey to the island itself is an experience, offering views of the beautiful inner archipelago and the open Bothnian Sea. You can enjoy the trip with coffee and pastries or a cold drink. The trip features plenty of birdlife and navigation markers, and onboard guidance will introduce you to the nature and attractions of the archipelago. The sea journey takes about 1.5 hours.

On Isokari Island: The guided tour starting from the harbor explores the island's nature, history, and, of course, the lighthouse. The lighthouse is still an active maritime navigational aid, and entry to the lighthouse is guided. To reach the lantern room and admire the lighthouse's lens system, you must climb nearly 180 steps. The lighthouse itself is an impressive sight, even from the beautiful lighthouse meadow.

Lunch, included in the cruise price, is served at the Kasarmiravintola Mainio restaurant on Isokari. In addition to the joint cruise program (guided island tour, lighthouse visit, lunch), you will have time to pet the sheep, swim, and enjoy coffee and pastries on the idyllic summer terrace. The island's flora, birdlife, architecture, and the ships passing in front of the island offer plenty to see and explore for all ages.

Weather Contingency: Strong winds can prevent travel to Isokari. The wind limit for cruises is approximately 15 m/s, depending on the wind direction. If a cruise must be canceled due to weather conditions, ticket holders will be notified the day before the cruise. No charges apply for weather-related cancellations, nor will compensation be provided for such cancellations.

Bookings can be rescheduled to another day without a service fee, provided the change is made at least 3 days before the cruise. If the rescheduling involves a cruise day with a different price, the difference will be refunded/charged on the ship.

Cancellations can be made without charge 7 days before the trip. If canceled within a week of the cruise or if the reservation is not redeemed, the full amount will be charged. Please review the booking and payment terms before making a reservation.
