Cruise Day Schedule The cruise departs at 10:30 AM from behind the Pakkahuone Guest Marina in Uusikaupunki. The sea journey begins slowly past impressive marinas. The sea journeys are made aboard the passenger ship M/S Kerttu, which has cozy and warm interiors, a café (with full liquor licenses), and plenty of space on the sun deck to enjoy the day at sea.

The journey to the island is an experience in itself. You will see the beautiful nature of the inner archipelago and the vast expanse of the Bothnian Sea while enjoying the trip, perhaps with a cup of coffee and a pastry or a cold drink. The journey offers plenty of bird watching and navigation marks, and the onboard guide will introduce you to the nature and sights of the archipelago. The sea journey takes about 1.5 hours.

On Isokari: The guided tour from the harbor introduces the island's nature, history, and of course, the lighthouse itself. The lighthouse is still an operational maritime safety device, and entry to the lighthouse is supervised. To reach the lantern room and admire the lighthouse's lens, you need to climb nearly 180 steps, but the tower is an impressive sight even from the beautiful lighthouse meadow.

The included Kerttu lunch is served at the Isokari Kasarmi Restaurant Mainio. In addition to the shared cruise program (guided island tour, lighthouse visit, lunch), you will have time to pet sheep, take a swim, and enjoy coffee and a pastry on the idyllic summer terrace. The island’s flora, birdlife, architecture, and ship traffic off the island provide much to see and explore for visitors of all ages.

The cruises are weather-dependent: Strong winds prevent travel to Isokari. The wind limit for the cruise is about 15 m/s depending on the wind direction. If the cruise needs to be canceled due to weather conditions, those who have booked tickets will be notified the day before the cruise. In the event of extreme weather, the cruise will not be charged, and no compensation will be paid for the cancellation.

Reservations can be transferred to another day without a service fee. Transfers must be made at least 3 days before the cruise date. If the transfer is to a different priced cruise day, the price difference will be refunded/charged on the ship.

Reservations can be canceled free of charge 7 days before the trip. If the reservation is canceled with a week or less to the cruise, or if the reservation is not redeemed at all, the reserved cruise spots will be fully charged. Please review the booking and payment terms before making a reservation.
